Exquisite corpses part two, from 3D to paper (A1)

the exercise is to take the 3d piece inspired by our orginal exquisite corpses and return them to a piece on apaer using collage and other medium.

I misread the instructions and produced a work on A4

considering the uses for artificial trees, to make syntethic shopping malls more restful, to provide shade in arid car parks, as reusable xmas trees. I thought of a surveilance tree and phone mast I saw in Sochi Russia

using my a4 collage as an idea I decided to print, draw and, collage a large tree called MataMata. ( mata means eyes in Malay, to make a plural double the word, it then means Police)

“MataMata”

It was a very good lesson in:

1/ read the brief A1 not A4

2/ if you do make a mistake there are opportunities to make something even more interesting
