



I made an intersting colograph plate from corrugated cardboard , 600 emery paper , wax crayon and wax. It was shellacked twice. During the inking and wiping the ink removed some of the wax slowly revealing a damad ged surface beneath.
This was a portrait of my father as a young man, from a photgraph. At Brian’s suggestion I inked and wiped a series of prints, the process degraded the plate each time
The result is a small series of colographs that effectively reflect issues of my memories of my father. My father died eight years ago, many memories remain, but other memories fade, become opaque and disappear.
